11 February 2019

Context Architects has added two members to its leadership team, appointing a new Design Principal based in the South Island and Digital Principal in Auckland.

Alasdair Hood joins Context Architects as Design Principal and Jonny Breen has been promoted to Digital Principal, a new position for the business.

“These two additions to our leadership team will help Context continue to embrace new ways of delivering enduring, human-centred design,” explains Managing Principal Stephen Voyle.

Alasdair Hood joins Context from Jasmax where he was a national leader for the firm’s interiors team. He specialises in workplace design and has wide experience with corporate clients from a range of industries. An award-winning designer, Alasdair will help Context reinforce a strong design culture and continue to offer creative, valuable solutions to clients.

Jonny Breen has been promoted to Digital Principal, a new position within Context’s leadership team. Since joining Context in 2015, Jonny has been integral to the practice’s positioning as New Zealand’s leading users of technology in architecture. In his new role, Jonny will work to maintain the practice’s profile in the digital space and expand the palette of digital services offered.

“The addition of a Digital Principal reflects our dedication to developing and embracing the most client-centric approach to technology. Jonny will help us lead the industry in our use of digital technologies and adopt the most collaborative and constructive approach in New Zealand.

Our people are at the core of our service, from the product of architecture to the digital tools used to design. We’re very excited about these new appointments, which will help us continue to enhance our customer experience,” says Voyle.
